Our History
THE JACKET was created by Victoria Bourgin in 2020.
Victoria worked for 10 years in prestigious French fashion houses in Paris; since her childhood in Ukraine she was passionate about fashion: her dream was to create her own brand.
A FEW WORDS FROM THE CREATOR
Demanding customer but often disappointed when I buy jackets; in fact neither quality, nor fabrics, nor price, nor colors corresponded to my wishes.
I then founded La Jaquette where French know-how, beautiful natural fabrics, fair prices and a wide choice of colours bring the perfect combination to life.
I want every jacket to be beautiful AND meaningful! La Jaquette celebrates French production by offering quality clothing accessible to all women. By eliminating intermediaries, we can maintain reasonable margins and guarantee very low prices.

With the creation of the LA JAQUETTE brand we wanted to give meaning to our products and build authentic values behind the brand name.
Support local and sustainable production
We are proud to promote the rich know-how of French industry and preserve the authenticity of French manufacturing. All our pieces are made in our Parisian workshop by craftsmen who are passionate about their craft. Currently 10 craftsmen are involved in our project and little by little we hope to be able to develop our activities and thus create new jobs in France.
Reduce environmental impact
In 2015, the textile industry emitted more than 1.715 million tons of CO2, used 79 billion cubic meters of water and generated 92 million pieces of solid waste, according to the Pulse of the Fashion Industry Report . Disturbing data that makes it the second most polluting industry on the planet, after the oil sector. With our local production we wanted to reduce the environmental impact as well as encourage sustainable development.
Choose Upcycling
Did you know that every year, between 10,000 and 20,000 tonnes of textile products are destroyed in France?
Upcycling is an emerging practice that is already a big trend. With upcycling we avoid waste and reduce the production of waste and finally we bring added value to the final product.
Our jacket collections are created in limited editions with fabric scraps from the stocks of the greatest French fashion houses. Each fabric has been given a new life and remains unique.
Favor natural fabrics
By choosing clothing made from natural materials rather than synthetic ones, we contribute to preserving the environment. Synthetic fibers (polyester, acrylic or nylon) all come from a very polluting industry, petrochemicals (set of technologies using oil or natural gas to manufacture synthetic chemical compounds).
At LA JAQUETTE we favor natural fabrics, for example 100% wool, 100% cashmere, 100% cotton which help preserve our environment and at the same time keep us warm.
At LA JAQUETTTE we prioritize quality , durability and beauty . We produce timeless, timeless and chic jackets that can live a long life.
At LA JAQUETTE we strongly believe in small changes that can have big impacts.
WHAT WE CARE ABOUT:
In addition to our annual donation, we donate 1 EUR from each order for animal protection in France. With our small gesture we hope to improve the daily lives of our animal friends.
